Why Grocery Retailers Should Stay Away From Instacart! πŸ₯•

Instacart has announced the release of the Instacart Platform, an a-la-carte software suite of SaaS tools for grocers. Big brands like Publix, Aldi, and Bristol Farms have all signed up for this new SaaS offering and the delivery platform says more clients are being on boarded throughout the year. This new “platform” provides capabilities for grocers to offer eCommerce, fulfillment, in-store tools, analytics, and advertising.

I think grocers need to tread very carefully here. Instacart has already disintermediated these long time food providers from their customerbase and transitioning entire operations onto tools owned by Instacart is a dangerous move.
