Livestream shopping represents 15% of the eCommerce market in China, representing over $400 billion in sales. Yet in the United States and Europe, this seemingly red hot channel has struggled to capture consumer’s interests. We’re seeing some big tech players like Amazon announce heavy investments into this space while others like TikTok have shuttered operations.

In this video I discuss why this channel has struggled to catch on and if tech monopolies like Amazon will usurp the previous generation’s dominant home shopping players QVC and HSN.
