LatAm Venture Investing Ramped Up in 2021 🌎

I look at the massive uptick in venture capital dollars invested in Latin America, referencing PitchBook data that shows LatAm investments following a similar trend to the U.S. but at a smaller overall scale. In 2021, companies backed by VC firms raised $14.8 billion in 772 deals in Latin America. Newly minted unicorn startups this year include Tiendanube, Clip, CargoX, Konfio, MadeiraMadeira, NotCo, CloudWalk, Clara, and Merama.

BONUS: I also allude to a soon to be announced Applico deal in LatAm, get subscribed so you don’t miss that announcement when it drops!
