Contradicting reports from Chinese media sources, it appears Chinese markets are seeing heavy outflows from both stock and bond investors. Chinese social media platforms have shut down accounts of Hong Hao, managing director and head of research at BOCOM International, China’s fifth largest bank, after Hao made a post about outflows of capital from China.

I dig into some of the different sources on inflows and outflows from Chinese markets and discuss how the geopolitical landscape is drastically changing in the arena of finance.
