Food Delivery Platforms: Uber Acquires Postmates for $2.65 B

Uber has announced they will be acquiring food delivery rival Postmates in a $2.65 billion all-stock deal. Alex breaks down the deal and explains why Postmates is a good acquisition but the Grubhub acquisition deal was a much larger opportunity. He also takes a look at Uber’s previous earnings and estimates whether or not Uber’s uptick in food delivery GMV will be able to offset the expected decline in ride sharing.
