Why Did TikTok CEO Kevin Mayer Resign?

News has broke that Kevin Mayer has resigned from his position as TikTok CEO and ByteDance COO. Mayer left Disney to join the China based social platform on June 1st, 2020. According to sources, he will now leave due to being left out of acquisition talks and the position looking “very different as a result of the US Administration’s action to push for a sell off of the US business”. Alex discusses Mayer’s departure from the video sharing platform and explains what he thinks being “excluded from talks” really entails.
