Uber Partners with Taxis in NYC + SF

Uber has announced they will partner with taxi cab providers in New York City and San Francisco. In New York, Uber will team up with taxi providers Curb and CMT. In San Francisco the ride sharing platform will partner with Flywheel Technologies.

Frankly, I hate this move and think it opens up Uber to being pressured by every city they operate in. Reports on this deal don’t specify if these agreements between Uber and taxi providers are exclusive. If they’re not, I think this is grounds for Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi to be fired.
