Online Censorship: How Big is Facebook’s “Moderation” Army?

Online Censorship:
Alex looks at big tech content platform monopolies and their obscene spending on content moderation policy enforcement, a practice which to many has morphed into what feels like a form of censorship. Alex looks back at a 2017 Financial Times article detailing the predicted profit hit Facebook would take from increasing its content moderation forces, a resource that the platform now touts as a competitive moat. Moazed goes on to detail how he believes that big tech content platforms use their lofty moderation/censorship spending to stamp out up-and-coming platform competitors.
