Is Amazon Getting Beat by Walmart in India?

While Amazon has dominated B2C eCommerce in the United States, the platform has encountered some blockers trying to recreate its successes in India. India has enacted regulations that stifle foreign marketplaces that sell both first party items as well as source from third party sellers. This regulatory environment has made it possible for market share to be captured by domestic platforms like Reliance as well as other foreign entrants like Walmart.

In this video we look at some of the ways India has maintained a competitive balance between eCommerce marketplaces and fostered homegrown tech in areas typically dominated by trillion dollar tech companies.
