Amazon Go Technology: VISA or MasterCard Should Create an Anti-Amazon Go Alliance

Amazon is currently operating 25 cashierless Amazon Go stores in San Francisco, Seattle, Chicago and New York. Alex and Nick discuss the ways in which Amazon Go technology fundamentally changes retail and state their case for why payment processors, retailers, and tech companies should join together to fight against Amazon Go. A move similar to how the Open Handset Alliance formed a consortium to fight Apple’s IOS platform would be an important step in slowing Amazon’s moves to dominate the retail sector.
